    Meet an Export Manager


    Hi, I’m John Steed. I’m an Export Sales Engineer and field-based Product Manager for ABB in the UK.

    I started my career with ABB eight years ago as a Technician Apprentice. The apprenticeship lasted four years. I gained a lot of experience in how a manufacturing company operates.

    I think what I like most about ABB is the opportunities they’ve given me. For example, three years ago I went up to Rochester, New York for a year, to work for ABB. I’ve also travelled to various countries. Travel allows me to meet a lot of people and experience a lot of different cultures. I enjoy being able to do that and also to see how business is conducted in the different cultures.

    ABB is a large community of people, and it’s very exciting to be a part of this organization.
