2008-05-24: ABB received a service order recently from PowerSeraya to provide onsite diagnostic as part of the investigation of its transformer.
This is the first time that ABB Singapore is providing this kind of transformer service.
The transformer's increasing dissolved gas levels for the last two years prompted PowerSeraya to engage ABB to conduct DGA oil testing, DFR, and FRA testing on its transformer at Jurong Island.
As part of the investigation, ABB will have to disconnect the terminations, drain the transformer oil, and enter the transformer main tank to check its condition.
Results of the investigation will be compiled in a report for PowerSeraya for evaluation and further actions.
ABB transformer service team and power transformer test specialist will work together to provide the transformer services, retrofit and repair.
