ABB has launched an Integrated Electrical Project Solution Center of Excellence (COE) in order to handle projects which require electrical equipment engineered and installed in the usual safe, secure, reliable and well-documented manner. Electrical/ IPS, as the Center of Excellence is named, is based on state-of-the-art technologies as the building blocks of total integrated systems. Electrical/ IPS solutions are suitable for retrofitting to existing systems or for providing the foundation technologies to Greenfield projects. Electrical/ IPS is specifically oriented towards the oil and gas industries, including upstream (offshore/onshore exploration, production and processing) and downstream (refining, petrochemical processing, and ancillary production such as power from cogeneration).
